Finding great illustrations for teaching and preaching is never easy. But if a great fish can locate Jonah, then you can uncover an illustration in that sea of information called your Logos library.
Have you had the experience of discovering a word picture, but it does not quite fit? Do you feel like spewing that illustration on the shore of frustration?
However, all is not lost. One option is to modify the application for your audience. Just be careful how you change the illustration and be sure you and the example still have its integrity when the changes are complete : )
Personally, I have found that reading multiple anecdotes can help me think of an illustration appropriate to my preaching and teaching needs.

Before you set sail and begin this search, be sure to add this collection to Logos. Go to Tools > Collections > click the ‘New’ button > copy the Collection Name into the first white box, then copy the Collection Rule into the second white box, and click the ‘New’ button again.
